DK – Owl Hat
I was asked to design a Owl hat, I decided to write a knitting pattern while I was knitting and designing the hat. I imagined it to have BIG round yellow eyes and ears. Then when I researched owls I found out its one or the other but not bother together!!
So I made bigg’ish eyes

I used black buttons for the centre of the eyes.
I noticed that owls with ears also have feathers like eyebrows above their eyes

I wanted the beck to stand out, so I designed a beck that would be stuffed

The ears are at the side of their heads and go out to the side, rather than straight up
