Blending Fleece and Yarn – A Fresh Twist on Knitting

Blending Fleece and Yarn – A Fresh Twist on Knitting

Hello fellow knitters!

You may have noticed things have been a little quiet here on Knits-r-us lately—but don’t worry, I haven’t disappeared! I’ve simply been swept up in another world I absolutely love: working with beautiful, premium British sheep fleece.

Lately, the two sides of my creative life—knitting and fleece work—have started coming together in the most exciting ways. I’ve been designing some truly unique knitting patterns that incorporate washed sheep locks, adding texture, character, and a natural flair to everyday projects.

So far, I’ve created a shoulder bag, a scarf, and a waistcoat, all combining traditional knitting techniques with wild, tactile fleece. The results are stunning—eye-catching pieces full of movement and charms and just by using the basic garter or stocking stitch patterns!

If you’re looking to try something a little different, now’s the perfect time to explore knitting with fleece.

What’s New?

  • Knitting Patterns Using Sheep Locks – Fresh textures and bold finishes
  • New Designs – A mix of structure and softness in accessories and garments
  • More to Come – I’ll be adding links to all the new patterns right here soon!

Thanks for following along with my knitting journey—I’m so excited to share more ideas that bring together yarn, fleece, and creativity. Whether you’re a seasoned knitter or just love trying something new, there’s lots more to come.

Warm wishes,
Sabina
