DK – slippers & slipper boots – DK used double

Winter is coming – Christmas is coming.

These quick and easy slippers and slipper boots can be made from oddments of wool for yourself or as a lovely Chrismas present.

I doubed up the same colour pink for one pair of the slip-on slippers and knitted another pair using 2 contrasting wools, red and white.

I knitted the boot slippers in black with stripes so the colours stood out.

What oddments of DK have you got left over to make a pair with?

You could use a thinner chunky to knit these slippers up – work a tension square and see if it comes out the same as double DK.  If its slightly too big try knitting a tension square on a smaller pair of needles, too small try knitting a tension square on a larger pair of needles.
